DMCA Notice & Takedown Policy
How to submit a copyright infringement notice or counter-notice under the DMCA.

MitePressrespects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (“DMCA”), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using the Service that are reported to our designated agent.
1. Filing a DMCA notice
If you believe that material available on the Service infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice containing the following information:
- an electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
- identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (such as the URL);
- your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
2. Counter-notice
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice containing:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, for non-U.S. residents, the judicial district where we are located); and
- a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice.
3. Repeat infringers
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, we have adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users deemed to be repeat infringers.
4. Designated agent
Notices and counter-notices may be sent to our designated agent through the contact channels listed on our website. Please note that false claims may result in liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
